Call For Speakers Of Purpose
We are seeking inspirational speakers from youth service and civic organizations to present for 5-10 minutes at the rally. Please submit a synopsis of your presentation to [e-mail], along with your contact information including organization you represent during your presentation, phone number and best time for phone conversation.

If your presentation in in spoken word, performance, or music please contact as soon as possible to arrange.

More Than A City We Are A CommUNITY
This is OUR rally, all of Detroit from the city to the suburbs. It is time to address how our village supports the development of our youth and the future into which they live here in Detroit.

Participating Organizations Sound Off
We are also asking organizations that will be participating to gather through their websites or establish a group presence here on this site. Will you have a vinyl banner with your group name? Are you marching with a theme? Are you marching in memorial of someone or some purpose? Please sound off in this discussion and rally people to your cause. Engage us in your presence and what you are bringing to the march.

I've made calls to five stage/sound providers and received quotes / calls to discuss from two of them. The information is being emailed to Ron Carlisle and Harlan Bivens today.

Can we get a list of organizations that are going to bring people together as groups during the walk? You are welcome to bring a vinyl banner to carry, and I've heard word of possibly having floats. The path for the walk I have not heard yet is finalized and look forward to hearing that resolved within a few days.

Please speak up - this is a community event and your voice is valuable to its success.

How did the March go this weekend? Was there a good turnout? Good media coverage? What happens now and over the next 9 months to support kids living in different Detroit neighborhoods, who attend poorly performing schools, and deal with high poverty in their neighborhoods? If you can build a database of the volunteer-based youth programs, tutoring, mentoring, arts, technology, you can draw resources to each program, and bring them together for networking and learning. If you can do that on-line that would be a great achievement.
