Good morning Kimle
Thanks for the words of encouragement. I will not ever stop serving the city of Detroit. Its my home and it deserves better. On that note, there will be a series of six candidate forums at the First Unitarian Universalist Church for Detroit City Council, City Charter Commission, and Mayor, Clerk, and School Board! If you are a Detroit voter and you want to learn more about the candidates before casting your vote in the November 3 election, this is a good opportunity to ask questions.
Charter Commission: Tuesday, Aug. 18 and Sep. 1
City Council: Thursday, Aug. 20 and Sep. 3
Mayor, Clerk, & School Board: Friday, Aug. 21 and Sep. 4
All candidate forums will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the McCallister Hall in First Unitarian Universalist Church of Detroit, 4605 Cass Ave., Detroit, MI 48201. These forums are educational and open to all. See attached flyers. RSVP at 313-833-9107 or info@1stuu.org
Please share and spread word to High School Juniors and Seniors (Class of 2010-2011) about the upcoming Scholarship Fair on Wednesday September 23 4-8pm at Joe Dumars Fieldhouse. Read (and share) the event posting to get full details on the required documents needed. $20 million in scholarships is to be rewarded!
We also need volunteer assistance, read and work with this… Continue
